The "First-First" Pressing of "40 Oz. to Freedom"!
Sublime's First pressing of "40 oz to Freedom" on CD! This is also known as the "First-First" pressing because there were actually 3 "First" pressings. The "First-First" was printed with a bullet-proof, ALL Silver CD & this will be the only noticeable difference between the "First-First" and the "Second-First" pressings. From the outside they are identical & you can only tell the difference between the two when you open them. Both have NO BARCODE, Both include "Get Out" & the tracks that were later removed due to copyright infringement. The one that you see here is THE First & it is VERY VERY RARE & Hard to Come by. |
THE FIRST PRESSING "ROBBIN THE HOOD" CD (NO BARCODE)!
This is the very First press of the "Robbin the Hood" CD ("1st Press). You can tell that this is the 1st pressing because: there is NO Barcode, there is the misprint address AND the CD itself is ALL Black (no copyright info or "Skunkd" info). The first two pressings of "RtH" are notorious because of two things: They contained the infamous "misprint address" of 996 Redondo (it should have been 966, but there was a mistake made and in typical "sublime" fashion, they just kept it that way! lol) and it also contains the "hidden track" of "Farther I Go" at the very end. ** At one point, it was said that there were only 20 of these made because of the misprint address mistake & the correction was made, however; with the 2nd press ALSO having the misprint address, those claims were quickly dismissed. More than likely, there were 1000 of these pressed. |
THE SECOND PRESSING "ROBBIN THE HOOD" CD (WITH BARCODE)!
THIS IS THE 2ND PRESSING OF ROBBIN THE HOOD WITH SUBLIME'S BRAND NEW ADDRESS OF 203 ARGONNE ON IT. THE 1ST-SECOND PRESSING OF 'ROBBIN THE HOOD' STILL CONTAINED THE HIDDEN TRACKS (FATHER I GO, ETC.) AND CONTAINED NO 'SKUNKD' NUMBER YET. THE REASONING FOR ADDING A BARCODE WAS TO SELL IN RECORD STORES. THE CD ITSELF STILL REMAINS ALL BLACK WITH 'SUBLIME' IN THE MATRIX. GET THESE ORIGINAL PRESSINGS IF YOU CAN, THEY ARE GETTING HARD AND HARDER TO COME BY. IT'S NOT THE "MUSIC" YOU ARE LOOKING FOR PER SAY,... YOU WANT THE DIFFERENT PRESSINGS FOR COLLECTIBLE VALUE. IF YOU HAVE A FULL 'ROBBIN THE HOOD' COLLECTION OF ALL OF THE DISCS & SELL THEM TOGETHER, IT IS WORTH MUCH MORE TO A SUBLIME COLLECTOR WHO CAN GET THEM ALL AT ONCE. |
THE 2ND-SECOND PRESSING "ROBBIN THE HOOD" CD! THIS IS THE SECOND-SECOND PRESSING OF ROBBIN THE HOOD. CHECK OUT THE SUBTLE DIFFERENCES. THIS RELEASE STILL CONTAINED THE "FARTHER I GO" AND THE OTHER 'HIDDEN' TRACKS, AND THE CD ITSELF AND INSERTS NOW CONTAIN NOT ONLY COPYRIGHT INFO AND BARCODE,... NOW, WE ALSO SEE THE 'SKUNKD' TAG |
The Sublime-"10th Anniversary Edition"-''S/T'' Acetate Double CD!!
This one is pretty damn RARE! These came out,... or rather were given away to radio execs and industry big wigs,... months prior to the "Special Edition" of the "S/T" came out for sublime's 10th anniversary. A very low number of these were produced; most likely between 50 and 200, & most everyone who receives these just (either) ignores them or throws them in the trash; especially because most of these assholes probably thought that it was just a redundant rehashing of the "S/T" album. In other words, Good Luck trying to find one of these & if you do, HOLD ONTO IT!!! |
THIS CD RIGHT HERE IS VERY SCARCE (& VERY RARE) AT THIS POINT. YOU RARELY SEE THEM AT ALL ANYMORE, AND NEARLY NEVER FOR SALE. WHAT MAKES THIS PARTICULAR CD RARE IS THAT IT IS A "TEST PRESSING" OF THE "13 FL. OZ." CD PRIOR TO IT'S RELEASE. SO, THE OTHER PRESSINGS OF THE "13 FL. OZ." THAT YOU SEE HERE ON MY SITE; THE 1ST & 2ND PRESSINGS, CAME OUT AFTER THIS. THIS ONE WAS MADE WITHOUT ARTWORK FOR WHATEVER REASON, BUT DID HAVE THE TRACK LISTING (WITH THE SYMBOLS) THAT WAS USED ON THE BACK OF THE OFFICIAL RELEASES. THE CD HERE IS THE SAME AS THE PRODUCTION PRESS, BUT IT WAS JUST PLACED INTO A BLANK JEWEL CASE WITH THE PAPER STICKER SLAPPED ON THE BACK. SUBLIME USED THESE TO PASS OUT TO RADIO STATIONS AND TO TAKE TO RECORD LABELS WHEN THEY WERE TRYING TO GET SIGNED. THIS CD IS ESSENTIALLY A TIME CAPSULE BACK TO 1994 & THIS PARTICULAR CD CAME DIRECTLY FROM BRADLEY NOWELL.
|
THE "13 FL. OZ." PROMO CDS (1st & 2nd PRESSINGS)
The infamous sublime "13 FL. OZ." promo only CD. The artwork alone is classic sublime. They were genius in copying the instantly recognizable "Tabasco" hot sauce label. In fact, they copied the Tabasco label so perfectly that they were served with a cease and desist & were nearly sued over its usage. So, these CDs were never reprinted and never will be. There were two editions of this CD put out by Skunk Records in 1994 to promote their albums, "40 oz. to Freedom" & "Robbin the Hood". *One of the RARE things about this particular sublime release is the misprint address of '996 Redondo' when their correct address at this time was 966 Redondo. Rumor has it that in typical "sublime" fashion, they were too stoned when they made the mistake & since no one noticed until the inserts & the disc itself were printed, they just left it that way! **Notice the misprint address on both the 1st & 2nd Press CDs, HOWEVER you'll also notice that they changed the address on the STICKER that was included on the inside of the 1st Press CD! (See Pix) It's extremely rare to find all 3 of these together. Notes: * The 1st Pressing was released in a thin cardboard sleeve but was later replaced with a jewel case for the 2nd Press because DJ's were complaining that the CDs would fall out of the cardboard sleeve & get lost or damaged. * The track lists for both CDs are identical, BUT the CDs themselves and the inserts vary slightly in color from 1st to 2nd Pressing. * Only ONE printing of each pressing exists & will never be repressed due to cease & desist. * Said to have been only 1000 of each the 1st & 2nd edition pressed. THESE ARE INCREDIBLY COOL & ARE GETTING MUCH HARDER TO FIND. If you see one of these or both, don't hesitate to grab them, they are only going to increase in value |
THE "SINSEMILLA" PROMO ONLY CD! HERE IS THE LEGENDARY "SINSEMILLA" CD FROM SUBLIME! SOLD AT LOCAL RECORD SHOPS AND GIVEN TO FRIENDS,.. THE STORY ON THIS ONE GOES SOMETHING LIKE THIS: BRAD AND THE BOYS HAD JUST SIGNED WITH MCA/GASOLINE ALLEY & THEY WERE GOING TO PROFIT ON SUBLIME'S NEW MUSIC, AS WELL AS THEIR BACK CATALOG OF SONGS PER THEIR CONTRACT. SUBLIME DIDN'T LIKE THAT, SO THEY MADE A CD WITH ALL OF THE RARE AND UNRELEASED STUFF & RELEASED IT TO THE FANS ON THEIR OWN. ON THE BACK YOU'LL SEE: "DISCOS LA REVANCHA" WHICH LITERALLY MEANS: "DISC THE REVENGE"!... NICE! COMPLETELY SUBLIME... GREAT SONGS ON THIS ONE & A MUST HAVE FOR COLLECTORS! THESE CDS FETCH UPWARDS OF $100 DOLLARS AT THE MOMENT. GRAB ONE IF YOU SEE IT FOR SALE. |
THE "LIVE SHOOTER" ORIGINAL BOOTLEG CD!
THE 'LIVE SHOOTER' OG IS AN AMAZING FIND IF YOU CAN GET IT! IT IS VERY RARE AT THIS POINT & VERY HARD TO FIND! THERE WERE ONLY 1000 OF THESE PRESSED. THE CD ITSELF IS AN ORIGINAL IF: THE CD ITSELF IS SILVER (BOTH TOP & BOTTOM) AND HAS PURPLE CIRCLES ON THE TOP. IT IS ALSO VERIFIED BY THE "LIVE SLIME" TEXT INSIDE THE RIGHT (CENTER) PURPLE CIRCLE. THIS CD IS SO DIFFICULT TO GET FOR TWO REASONS: 1.) THERE WERE ONLY 1000 OF THESE CD'S PRODUCED. & 2.) THERE ARE MANY FAKE, BOOTLEGGED COPIED OF THIS CD FLOATING AROUND OUT THERE. DON'T BE FOOLED BY IMITATIONS, LOOK FOR THE ONE (HERE) ON MY SITE WHEN YOU ARE TRYING TO ADD ONE TO YOUR COLLECTION. THE AUDIO ON THE CD IS A MIX OF SEVERAL LIVE SHOWS & WAS ORIGINALLY MADE FAMOUS ON LIL MIKE'S DISC, "IT ALL SEEMS SO SILLY IN THE LONG RUN". BUT, WHAT MAKES THIS AN "OG BOOT" AND DIFFERENT FROM BEING JUST A COPY OF THE "SILLY" CD, IS THE FACT THAT IT IS A SILVER BOTTOMED OG (PROFESSIONALLY PRESSED) & THAT IT CONTAINS 4 EXTRA TRACKS AT THE END... "ACOUSTIC IN COUNTY JAIL" WHICH IS ESSENTIALLY BRADLEY ACOUSTIC. THESE ARE GREAT TAKES OF HIS CLASSIC ACOUSTIC SONGS & NOT TO BE MISSED. THE INSERTS ON THIS RARITY ARE CLEAN, CRISP AND PROFESSIONAL. IF YOU SEE ONE, GRAB IT WHILE YOU HAVE A CHANCE. |
The "Sublime Live-We're Only Gonna Die..." Original CD!
This CD is VERY Rare and hard to find. **FYI: There are TWO different COLORS of this release, BUT the CDs themselves are identical. There is a Purple/Blue one & a Green one** Released on Adeline Records in 2004, this is one of the best mixes of the recording of the Oct. 21st, 1995 show at The Palace in Hollywood, CA. This concert has also been released as "Contact Buzz", "Ring the Alarm" and a few others, but this particular audio is (in my opinion) the best & the cleanest. There were 1000 of these made and they were very scarce even when they first came out, so if you see one these days, GRAB IT! You should be looking at anywhere from $100 to $200 dollars for this particular CD & it is well worth it. Lastly, this is what they call an "OG Boot" or an Original Bootleg meaning that it is NOT an official release however it IS a Silver-Bottomed, Original CD; not a CD-r. |
THE "EBIN" CD EP SINGLE!
This is one of the hardest to find and hardest to get OG sublime CDs, & is a must for any sublime collection. This CD is Legendary among collectors because of the limited, low number run that was produced. Secondly, there was only one pressing and it was never reproduced. It was produced & released by sublime on their own Skunk Records label before they signed with MCA, and WAY BACK in 1995! You could barely get your hands on this CD back in the day, let alone now. The CD has no cover art, instead the art is on the CD itself. Opies image of the devil showin' aces is completely key. Also, the only way to make sure that you're not getting a copy or a fake is that the CD itself has "EBIN" imprinted on the actual CD. There are 3 Tracks - Radio Edit, Lp Version, & Original Demo. If you see one of these for sale, grab it. They don't come around often, and are getting harder and harder to find. |
Universal Music "Sublime" Promotional CD!
This is the "SUBLIME- PUBLISHING CD". Said to have been ONLY 250 MADE! & features super cool artwork by Opie Ortiz. It was an "Industry ONLY" promotional release which was given out to radio station and music industry insiders. This is a VERY limited (and RARE) promotional CD released by Universal Music Publishing Group in 2005 to promote Sublime & the upcoming "Everything Under The Sun" Box Set. |
THE "IT ALL SEEMS SO SILLY IN THE LONG RUN" CD!
THIS IS SUBLIME'S "IT ALL SEEMS SO SILLY IN THE LONG RUN" ORIGINAL, OFFICIAL "BOOTLEG" CD. THE CD'S TITLE COMES FROM A LINE THAT BRAD SAYS... THIS CD WAS MADE BY LIL MIKE OUT OF SAN FRANCISCO & ONLY 2000 OF THESE WERE PRESSED! THIS CD CONTAINS THE INFAMOUS 'COURTNEY LOVE' PHONE MESSAGE & 6 SONGS FROM SUBLIME'S VERY LAST SHOW IN PETALUMA, CA!! THEY ARE SILVER-BOTTOMED, ORIGINAL CDs; NOT CDRs. THESE DAYS, THESE HAVE BECOME VERY RARE & HARD TO FIND. GRAB ONE IF YOU SEE IT FOR SALE. |
The "Living In A Boring Nation" Australian Import EP!
This is an Import release from 1995 that was made in Australia to promote “40 oz. to Freedom” over there. It’s Out of Print. The CD was released on “Liberation” records in conjunction with "Skunk Records". This was a milestone for sublime at the time as they had never been out of the United States, yet they inked a distribution deal with a company in AUSTRALIA based solely on the merit of their music! |
The FIRST press Australian Import "Robbin the Hood" This CD is Extremely RARE & Hard to find. The CD was released ONLY in Australia. There were only 1000 of the FIRST pressing made & it is very difficult to locate this particular release. *This is one of the first releases to include Bradley's rendition of "Trench Town Rock" by Bob Marley.* |
The "bumS lie" CD
This "OG" bootleg is very, very, very hard to find & it includes some of the RAREST, "unreleased" sublime material around. This is a Silver bottomed CD, not a CDr & there were only 1000 of these pressed. This is widely considered to be the best sublime bootleg. Released by "OPM" Records. |
THERE WERE (ARE) 3 SEPARATE, ORIGINAL PRESSINGS OF THIS CD: THE 1ST PRESSING: ”100% HEMP” VERSION, THE 2ND PRESSING: ”100% LOVE” VERSION, & THE 3RD PRESSING: THE ”BUDWEISER” VERSION. THIS IS BRAD AT HIS MOST RAW & HONEST,… ONLY PLAYING WITH HIS ACOUSTIC GUITAR. THIS WAS RECORDED ON FEBRUARY 2ND IN 1995 AT THE CATTLEMAN'S WHARF IN ANAHEIM, CA! STRICTLY AWESOME TO SAY THE VERY LEAST & AN ESSENTIAL TO ANY SUBLIME COLLECTION. TRY AND COLLECT ALL 3 IF YOU CAN FIND THEM.
|
This CD is known in the sublime circles as the: "100% Love" Firecracker Lounge. On this CD, he played a bunch of sublime standards-acoustic, took requests, and played a bunch of cover songs that were influential to his music. He plays, talks, rambles, & and overall,… was having a REAL good time. It’s classic Brad, loose, carefree, and perfect in every way!
|
This CD is known in the sublime circles as the: "Budweiser" Promo. This recording is one of those things that Brad would do every now and then, not for fame, money or notoriety, but for fun & a good time. This recorded night of music verified his genius in a completely different way. Not to be missed by ANY sublime fan! |
The "European" Import "40 oz. to Freedom" CD
This CD was released in 1996 by "Community Records" in conjunction with Skunk Records. This is a historic pairing; as sublime were barely known outside of California, let alone the United States, at this point. They hadn't even toured Europe, yet they inked a distribution deal on the other side of the world strictly on the merit of their music! Very impressive. There were only 1000 of these printed & this CD is VERY hard to come by and EXTREMELY rare. |
The "Memories" 2 CD Set "
This 2 CD set is infamous among sublime collectors. Only 1000 of these were made & each was HAND NUMBERED in Gold Sharpie. This is a "live" recording of a show that sublime did in Everett, WA in November, 1994. Widely considered to be the best live show, this is an "Official" bootleg; as permission was given by the band to record & release the material. In some of the pictures, you will notice the silver "seal" that indicates whether or not the CD has been opened. |
The "Canadian Import"-'40 oz. to Freedom'/'Robbin the Hood' Compilation!
This CD is super cool & RARE these days! Getting harder & harder to find. It was released to promote both "40 oz." & "Robbin" in Canada prior to the release of the "S/T" album & features tracks from both albums. This CD is similar to the American release, "13 fl. oz.". It was released in 1995 & it features killer artwork by Opie & is one of the coolest looking sublime CDs. |
THE BLACK ALBUM #2!
Very RARE Bootleg release from 2000. Released by "LDR"; which is said to be "Lou Dog Records", there were only 1000 of these made & each is encoded to prevent copies from being made. Also, an "OG" came with a Blue Swirl picture that was hand numbered & produced in 3 different colors of blue to prevent duplication. |
The "Everything Under The Sun" PROMO ONLY Box Set Sampler Acetate!
This was for "promotion only" & was never sold. An “Acetate” is a CD that comes out prior to the release an album. Many times, these CDs will include alternate takes of a song, different mixes & un-mastered tracks because they are made & issued months prior to an “official” release coming out! For instance: Notice,.. The song "Foolish Fool" is entitled "Foolish Love" here. Acetates are highly sought after, very limited in their production numbers & given only to a select few for PROMOTION ONLY!!! The CD gives record Execs & Radio Stations an early glimpse of what is to come. They are usually produced in numbers like 50, 100, 200 or 250!! |
THE "DESTROY" ORIGINAL CD BOOTLEG!
This CD is Extremely Rare & when trying to get an "OG", it is nearly impossible. There are said to have been ONLY between 500-1000 of these pressed! The CD itself is a 'Live" soundboard recording of "sublime" at the KUCI Ska Parade on 3-5-1994. There are 21 tracks which are amazing and this is, without a doubt, some of the best "live" sublime available. Yes, the CD below is the infamous SOUNDBOARD recording of “sublime” @ KUCI in California AND from 1994!! To top that off, it's one of the best live shows that “sublime” ever put on,… This show took place at the radio station on the campus of UCI in Irvine, California. It was broadcast live on the air of KUCI & contains all of the “sublime” tunes that we all know & love….. Not only that,… these “live” versions are some of the best versions I have ever heard!!! The guys were truly “on” for this show!!!**NOTE: Some of the songs bleed into other songs that “sublime” was working on at the time; like “Jailhouse”, but they are not listed on the back of the CD! Little extra “gems” for all of us to enjoy. “Freebies” thrown in there,……Totally “sublime”!! Some of these songs can be found on other releases,.. but not ALL of them!! This is why this is SOOO RARE & a MUST HAVE for everyone’s “sublime” collection!! On “Ready Go” Records, this collection of songs is unmatched in terms of sound and “sublime’s” performance…. & in my opinion, this CD rivals the awesome, infamous “Memories” recordings in terms of the ‘best live show’ that we have to remember “sublime” by…. Do yourself a favor & Grab this baby if you can when you have a chance!!! |
The "Doin Time" PROMO ONLY Acetate CD!This is an EXTREMELY RARE acetate promo version of "Doin' Time". It is said that there were less than 50 of these made! An “Acetate” is a CD that comes out prior to the release an album. Many times, these CDs will include alternate takes of a song, different mixes & un-mastered tracks because they are made & issued months prior to an “official” release coming out! Acetates are highly sought after, very limited in their production numbers, never sold & given only to a select few for PROMOTION ONLY!!!
|
The Brad Nowell & Friends Acetate CD!!!
This is an EXTREMELY RARE acetate promo version of "Brad Nowell & Friends". |
The FIRST press Australian Import "40 oz. to Freedom"
The CD was released ONLY in Australia & the artwork is COMPLETELY different (than the wider known SECOND PRESS release) with the Original "Skunk" artwork on the CD & the "Skunk Records" logo in the upper right. Key! There were only 1000 of the FIRST pressing made & it is very difficult to locate this particular release. ~~~~~~ *** At the time of it's release, this CD was highly sought after in the States because it featured the then 'unreleased', upcoming "Garden Grove", Untitled (Dub), which was a killer version of "Pawn Shop" Live, and the Original version of "Ebin". *** ~~~~~~~ If you see THIS version of the Australian Import, GRAB IT as it will only increase in value over time. |
The SECOND press Australian Import "40 oz. to Freedom" This is the more common Australian release of "40 oz. to Freedom". The 2nd pressings says "Mushroom Liberation"; as opposed to just "Liberation" on the CD & the disc is all Black with White or Gray lettering (depending on if it was an earlier or later pressing). The 2nd press was pressed in far larger numbers than the 1st & therefore is more widely known and much more easily attainable. |
Here is the "Swedish Import 6 Track" of the single for "Doin' Time"! This release is very rare and was only sold in Europe; and of course, mostly in Sweden. The KILLER thing about this release is that it was released in 1996 & at the time it was THE ONLY place to hear the "Doin' Time"-("Tricked Out Life Sentence Remix")!! Also, the version on here is not the same as the one released on the "Everything Under The Sun" Box Set,.... It's similar, but the one on the "EUTS" Box Set was remastered or re-worked for the Box Set. This is the "OG" right here! For your information: You could also hear the "Life Sentence" version of "Doin' Time" on the "Louie Dog Box Set" & the "Louie Dog" Spotted 12" vinyl but good luck getting a hold of those "Promo Only" items; especially in 1996!! If you see one of these, I would highly suggest that you grab it while you have the chance!
|
The 'Second Hand Smoke'-"Alternate" Artwork!! ULTRA RARE!..
This is INSANELY COOL! This is one of (from what I have heard) ONLY three (3) versions of the "Second Hand Smoke" CD Artwork that were proposed in a meeting at MCA. If you will notice, the inside of the front insert is labeled, "3" & was obviously not used. Also, you will notice that the back of the CD or the "Back Insert" had "Alternate" Song titles; for instance, "Doin' Time" is label here as "Doin' Ska"!!! Sweet. Lastly, the CD that you see inside is just a CD-r of the "SHS" album and there are no differences in the audio than the "studio" released version. Still,.... WAY Crazy!! |
SUBLIME "DESTROY" REMASTERED LIMITED EDITION CD
This right here is some cool stuff. The "Destroy" CD was remastered over in Japan so that there would be no conflict with the label and nobody would get sued; which is understandable considering that when this was made, Bud and Eric were just getting ready to "reform" the band and go on the road & that involved YEARS of legal bullshit where everybody & their Brother got "sue happy". In any case, as we all know, the "Destroy" CD is INFAMOUS because it is such a bad ass show & recording, but the sound quality leaves a lot to be desired. What you have here is a "cleaned up" version of that same recording that really highlights the band at the TOP of their game in 1994! Again, if you can find one of these, HOLD ONTO IT!! It is only going to become more valuable & scarce as the years go by. |
The CRAZY RARE "sublime"- "What I Got" Australian Single
This single is bad ass in general,......... but what makes it REALLY crazy is the fact that it contains the ( then unreleased) "Live" version of 'Jailhouse" from the almost unattainable "Memories" 2 CD set. This CD came in a cardboard sleeve with no "Jewel Case"... so to get one of these in perfect shape is hard to do. Grab this thing if you see it. |
SUBLIME - THE EUTS RADIO SPECIAL This is a CD of an interview that took place when the "EUTS" Box Set was coming out. It is VERY RARE. It's very cool with interviews with the band & other musicians. They play sublime songs throughout & talk about sublime's massive influence on the music industry, as well as the Genius of Brad Nowell. |
THE "SANTERIA" CD SINGLE
EVEN THOUGH THIS CD ONLY CONTAINS ONE SONG, IT'S HIGHLY COLLECTIBLE BECAUSE OF THE ARTWORK. ALSO, THESE WERE PRODUCED IN VERY LOW NUMBERS (SAID TO HAVE BEEN ONLY 1000 MADE), WERE FOR PROMOTION ONLY & NEVER SOLD IN STORES. THEY WERE GIVEN TO RECORD INDUSTRY INSIDERS, PROMOTERS & RADIO STATIONS ONLY. |
THE "SECOND HAND SMOKE" LIMITED EDITION T-SHIRT COMBO!
These are really cool if you can find them. This Combo came out in 1997 and the package was a shrink-wrapped, folded up, Limited Edition "MAP" sublime tee shirt & the "SHS" CD bundled together. The shirts are very hard to come by these days, ESPECIALLY NEW, so if you see this Combo, grab it. They usually sell on eBay for around $50.00. You can ALSO find this Combo inside the "Second Hand Smoke" BOX SET!! |
THE "DOIN' TIME" U.S. PROMO ONLY 3 TRACK SINGLE!
THIS IS THE "PROMOTION ONLY" 3 TRACK VERSION OF "DOIN' TIME" THAT WAS DISTRIBUTED THROUGHOUT THE UNITED STATES. THIS WAS NOT SOLD IN STORES, RATHER IT WAS GIVEN OUT TO INDUSTRY INSIDERS TO PROMOTE THE "DOIN' TIME" SINGLE. IT CONTAINS 2 REMIXES OF THE SONG, AS WELL AS THE ALBUM VERSION. THE ARTWORK IS BY OPIE ORTIZ. ALTHOUGH NOT VERY "RARE", THEY ARE AN "ESSENTIAL" IF YOU ARE GOING FOR A COMPLETE SUBLIME CD COLLECTION. YOU CAN USUALLY PICK THESE UP FAIRLY CHEAP BECAUSE THERE WERE SO MANY MADE TO PROMOTE THE SINGLE/SONG "DOIN' TIME" & TO PROMOTE SUBLIME'S "S/T" ALBUM. |
THE "DOIN TIME" US 4 TRACK SINGLE
THIS IS THE MORE COMMON OF THE "DOIN' TIME" SINGLES. THIS ONE WAS SOLD IN STORES & WAS MORE WIDELY USED TO PROMOTE THE SONG "DOIN' TIME" WITHIN THE UNITED STATES THAN THE 'PROMO ONLY' 3 TRACK; WHICH WAS NOT SOLD & ONLY GIVEN OUT BY THE RECORD COMPANY FOR PROMOTION. THIS ONE CONTAINS THE TWO REMIXES THAT WERE ON THE 3 TRACK & THE ALBUM VERSION, BUT IT ALSO CONTAINS ANOTHER MIX OF "DOIN' TIME" CALLED THE "BRADLEY VERSION" WHICH EVENTUALLY SHOWED UP ON THE "SECOND HAND SMOKE" RELEASE. THIS IS NOT "RARE" AT ALL, YOU CAN FIND THEM ALL OVER THE PLACE, BUT THEY ARE AN ESSENTIAL TO ANY COMPLETE SUBLIME CD COLLECTION. |
THE "WRONG WAY" CD PROMO ONLY SINGLE (BOTH VERSIONS) HERE WE SEE THE CD SINGLE(S) FOR THE "WRONG WAY" TRACK OFF THE S/T ALBUM. BOTH OF THESE WERE USED TO PROMOTE THE SINGLE WITHIN THE MUSIC INDUSTRY & RADIO. THE ONE THAT CONTAINS ARTWORK HAS 2 VERSIONS OF THE SONG. THE ONE WITHOUT ARTWORK IS 'FOR RADIO PROMOTION' ONLY & CONTAINS 1 TRACK THAT IS THE 'RADIO EDIT'. |
THE "HOLLYWOOD SWINGERS" ORIGINAL CD
THIS SUBLIME CD IS AN OFFICIAL BOOTLEG RELEASE & THESE WERE SAID TO HAVE BEEN 1000 PRINTED. IT IS KNOWN IN SUBLIME CIRCLES AS AN "OG BOOT" IN THAT IT IS THE ORIGINAL AND IT IS A SILVER-BOTTOMED CD, NOT A CDr. THE AUDIO ON THIS DISC IS SUBLIME'S LIVE SHOW AT THE PALACE IN HOLLYWOOD, CA ON 02/17/ OF 1995. THE TRACK LIST IS CLASSIC SUBLIME AT THE HEIGHT OF THEIR GREATNESS. THE WAY THAT YOU CAN TELL IF YOU HAVE AN ORIGINAL "SWINGERS" IS THAT THE CD ITSELF IS A LIME GREEN COLOR (SILVER BOTTOMED) & HAS THE WORD: "BLIME" ON IT WITH "HOLLYWOOD SWINGERS" BELOW IT. ALSO, THE INSERTS FOR THE JEWEL CASE ARE VERY PROFESSIONALLY MADE & ARE A THICK, GLOSSY, SHINEY TYPE OF PAPER. THESE ARE GETTING VERY RARE. IF YOU SEE ONE FOR SALE, GRAB IT. |
THE "SHOOTIN' UP IN BEANTOWN" OFFICIAL BOOTLEG
THIS IS WHAT IS KNOWN AS AN "OG BOOT" BECAUSE IT'S A BOOTLEG CD OF A SUBLIME SHOW BUT IT'S THE ORIGINAL ONE OR FROM THE OG SOURCE. IN MOST CASES, THE ARE PRESSED ONTO CD-R'S & ARE NOT MADE ON SILVER-BOTTOMED 'REAL' CDS. THIS IS A FAIRLY COMMON SUBLIME BOOTLEG THAT YOU CAN FIND ONLINE OF A LIVE PERFORMANCE AT MAMA KINS IN BOSTON, MA ON 4/10/1996. |
